MAD Lions are Flashpoint Champions

Madrid, Spain 20th April 2020

MAD Lions win the inaugural season of CSGO franchise league Flashpoint, with monumental comeback on final map to lift the trophy. A 1-12 deficit was staring the Spanish based organization in the face, and with pressure mounting to stay in contention for the championship victory, MAD Lions rallied back to close out the game 16-13. The victory is a historic achievement for the team, being not only the first Flashpoint champions in history, but also the first champions in a CSGO franchised league owned by the team ever.

Undergoing a major change of their in-game leader weeks before Flashpoint, MAD Lions have gone from strength to strength throughout the competition, showcasing flexibility in play, and growth in strategy. MAD Lions have a focus on talent scouting and performance coaching across all teams to elevate the top young talent in esports to a championship calibre team, and that’s been achieved already in only one season.

MAD Lions will compete next in the DreamHack Spring Masters event, which starts May 19th.
